Jembatan Barelang, Batam

The first of the seven Jembatan Barelang (“Barrel bridges”) connecting multiple of the Riau Islands together.

This is one of the architectural icons in an otherwise plain industrious city. It is a popular spot for people to pick up food from a street stall and watch the sunset on the the bridge.

Along this “Seven Bridges” road there are endless adventures to explore including a former Vietnamese refugee camp and a Dragon Fruit farm.
